Show BOOTLEGGERS HAVE HEARING BEFORE U. S. COMMISSIONER The case of the State of Utah vs. John O. Watters, Mike O'Connor, P. O. William and R. Arnold, who was apprehended for the manufacture of whisky on the Waters ranch some time ago, had their trial September .27 before U. S. Commissioner I. R. Tuttle nt Myton. The state was represented by County attorney E.- II. Burgess and the defendants were represented by Ed Monissey of Salt Lake. Waters was bound over to the Federal Court and the other three defendants' case was dismissed as a Federal case and held to answer in the local courts in Duchesne county. On September 30 OXounor, Williams and Arnold were taken lefore J.iistJce of the Peace P. W. Rasmussen for trial. On motion by the prosecuting attorney the case was continued to October 2S. |
