Show nop Mrs. Wm. Fieldstead who is in Provo recruiting from an appendix append-ix operation is reported to be improving im-proving rapidly and is expected home for Thanksgiving. A. B. Madsen has returned home from Rock Creek, where he has been working on the forest road the past two weeks. The P. T. A. entertained the parents and young people Saturday Satur-day night. Refreshments were served. Mr. Roy Thacker furnished furnish-ed music for dancing. A number of people form Mt. Emmons attended, at-tended, all present reported a good time. Mr. Wm. Erickson has gone to Rock Creek to work on the road. A number of Boneta people attended at-tended Union meeting at Mt. Emmons Em-mons Sunday. Mr. R. Wilkins of Mt. Home ran the school buss over there which made it convenient for those wishing to go from Mt. Home and Boneta. Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Barton and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Barton went to Manti Sunday to attend the funeral fun-eral of Mrs P. H. Anderson. Mrs. Mons Johansen was taken to Roosevelt last week for medical med-ical attention. She has returned home and at last reports was improving. im-proving. Sunday night, Mr. and Mrs. E. I. Bennion'and children were overnight over-night visitors at the home of Mrs. Bennion's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Madsen. o Several hundred chickens were sold here last week. The price paid was much less than their value. Poor poultry raisers, they have all the work and expense and get nothing for it. Mr. Dan Brotherson, our genial merchant made a hurried business trip to Salt Lake City last week. He reported snow in Heber. Mrs. A. O. Madsen entertained at a quilting bee on Wednesday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Brandon entertained en-tertained at a dinner party Wednesday Wed-nesday evening of this week. The wind is blowing as we write and we sincerely trust it will bring us some much needed moisture. |
