B. it resolved by the Legislature of the Stata of Utah, two-thirds of all the mem bera elected to each house concurring therein : SECTION I. That it Is proposed to mend Article 16 of the Constitution by the addition of a section which will read as follows: fol-lows: , SEC. 8. The legislature may, by appropriate appro-priate legislation provide for the establishment estab-lishment of a minimum wage for women -and minors and may provide for the comfort, com-fort, health, safety and general welfare of any and all employees. No provision of this constitution shall be construed as a limitation upon the authority of tho legislature leg-islature to confer upon any commission now ' or hereafter created such power and authority au-thority aa the legislature may deem requisite requis-ite to carry out the provisions of this section. sec-tion. De It resolved by the Legislature of the Stata of Utah, two-thirds of all members mem-bers elected to each House and two-thirds two-thirds of all the members of each House concurring therein: SECTION 1. Repealing Section I of Article 22. That it is proposed to amend Article XXII of the Constitution of Utah in the following particular, to-wit : That Section 3 of Article XXII of the constitution of Utah be ' and the same k hereby repealed. SECTION 3. Doty of Secretary of State. The Secretary of StaU Is hereby directed to submit the proposed amendment contained con-tained hercinto to the electors of the state at the next general election in the manner man-ner provided by law, SECTION S. Effective' Date. If adopted by the electors of the state this amendment shall have effect on the first day of January Janu-ary next succeeding a determination by the Board of State Canvassers of the result re-sult of the election designated in Section 2 hereof.
