Show DELEGATES ATTEND AM. LEGION MEET 0 . Guy J. Hollenback and Jay R. Pope attended the American Legion Convention held in Ogden last week as delegates of the Duchesne Du-chesne Post No. 22, and report that the attitude of the Convention Conven-tion was that the American Legion and Auxiliary were back of President Presi-dent Roosevelt and his program one hundred per . cent. Representative Repre-sentative of District No. 5, F. P. Fisher fof Helper, Utah, was elected elect-ed as delegate to the National Convention, to be held in Chicago. L. A. Blackner of Magna was chosen as State Commander and Darrel T. Lane of Salt LakP nitv as National Executive Committeeman. Committee-man. Logan was chosen a3 the next Conventional City. Delegates from the Auxiliary were: Mrs. Paul Allen, Mrs. HUbur W. Johnstun, and Mrs. L. C. Wins-, low. 1 Mrs. George W. Worthen of Provo was elected State President of the Au.xiliary. Others in attendance from Duchesne, Du-chesne, were: Mrs. J. R. Pope and Mrs. Afton Crocker. Those in attendance at-tendance report a large convention with much interest shown in Legion matters, especially in legislation leg-islation concerning the disabled veterans. |
