Show MT. EMMONS HIGH SCHOOL NEWS By Veda Faye Kartchncr The last ball game of the season was played Friday 3, between Roosevelt and ML Emmons. It was a very close game, with the final score in favor of Mt. Emmons. Em-mons. They scored a. one point lead over Roosevelt which at the beginning of the last Innings, was held for a final victory of 9 to 8. A very successful Hallowe'en dance was given Friday night in the Mt. Emmons Hall. Hallowe'en Hallow-e'en costumes and brightly colored color-ed caps added much to the spirit of the evening. The music was, furnished by Larsen's orchestra. The athletic girls of the Mt. Emmons Central High School met Friday, 3rd and selected leaders for a Valley Ball Tournament. Garda Goodrich wa3 appointed as the athletic manager. For captains cap-tains of the Valley Ball teams Miss La Rue Maxfield was selected select-ed for the Juniors and Miss Verna Thacker for the Seniors. These girls are working with Miss Kart-chner Kart-chner to draw up a schedule that will feature contests between the boys, girls and the Faculty. |
