Show SOCIETY One of the most delightful social events of last week was. the Hallowe'en Hall-owe'en party given by Mr. and Mrs. Lotus Fisher Wednesday evening, eve-ning, November 1st. The house was prettily decorated with Hallowe'en Hall-owe'en ornaments and favors. Bridge was the diversion of the evening after which a delicious luncheon was served to the following follow-ing guests: Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rollins; Mr. and Mrs. George Kohl; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Pope; Mr. and Mrs. Reed Cowan; Dr. and Mrs. D. W. Bishop; Mr and Mrs. Bernard Ber-nard O'Toole; the Misses Mildred Stephenson; Emily Madsen and Erma Poulson; Ed Carmen; Alfred Al-fred Owens; Dwight Wadlelgh. High score prize was won by Mr. and Mrs. Reed Cowan. Mr. and Mrs. Tennis Poulsen entertained at a prettily arranged Hallowe'en party Monday evening, October 30th. The house was decorated de-corated with lighted Jack-O-Lant-crs and other apprppriate ornaments orna-ments for the occasion. The evening eve-ning was spent in' playing progressive progres-sive games after which a delicious luncheon was served to the following follow-ing guests: Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bench; Mr. and Mrs. Dean Powell; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Poulson; Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Mickelson; Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Jones; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rollins; Dr. and Mrs. D. W. Bishop; Miss Mildred Stephenson; Stephen-son; Ed Carmen; and Miss Veda Poulson. High score prize was won by Mr. and Mrs. Dean Powell. The following group of young folks enjoyed a delicious Pheasant Pheas-ant dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lotus Fisher Tuesday evening, eve-ning, November 7th, after which they attended the dance: Mr. and Mrs. Lee Merkley, Mr. andMrs. Lloyd Pope, Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Smith, Emily Madsen, Erma Poulsen, Poul-sen, Mildred Stephenson, Alfred Owens, Dewight Wadleigh, and Ed Carmen. Mrs. James Dalgleish and Mrs. Ralph Walker of Myton entertained, entertain-ed, the following ladies at a contract con-tract bridge party Thurs'day afternoon, after-noon, Mesdames Fred Burger, B. O. Dart and Miss Alice Todd of Myton, Mesdames "Ed Hart Titus Jones, Jess Johnstun, Daryl Smith, Arthur Orr, George Kohl, Guy Hollenbeck, A. M. Murdock, Lloyd Pope, Homer Liddell and Ernest Schonlan of Duchesne. Miss Alice Todd won the prize for high score and Mrs. George Kohl the free for all prize. The delicious refreshments were enjoyed by all. . The Contract Bridge Club was entertained by Mrs. Selch Saturday Satur-day afternoon with the following members present: Mesdames R. G. Porter, A. M. Murdock, Arthur Orr, Arthur Brown, Ernest Crocker. Crock-er. Guests were Mrs. Jess John-stun John-stun and Mrs Ernest Schonian. Mrs. Brown had high score. Mrs. Selch served delicious refreshments refresh-ments to the ladies after a pleasant pleas-ant afternoon of ' cards. An impromptu supper party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crocker and Mrs. R. M. Pope Tuesday evening. A delicious, delic-ious, meal consisting mainly of pheasant and rabbit, salad, hot biscuits, a huge chocolate cake and all the minor details prepared by the hostesses and several of the ladies was set before the guests who were: Messrs and Mesdames, Arthur Brown, H. S. Liddell, Grant Murdock, R. G. Porter, Roy A. Schonian, Guy J. Hollenbeck. J. R. Pope, Mrs. Ernest Schonian and Mrs. A. M. Murdock. The chief entertainment of the evening was the reception of election returns. |
