Show (Bosslpy (Bess LET'S WORK TOGETHER There are some of us who complain about everything every-thing that happens, but never seem able to do anything any-thing constructive about our problems. We want all the free services we can get, but are never willing will-ing to spend any time nor money to do anything for ourselves nor our community. There are businessmen who cry that business is bad, but they don't think it would do any good to advertise their goods or services, nor to join the Chamber of Commerce. There are others who work for wages, and grumble about their pay, but they would never consider putting in a little more time or effort so that the people they work for would feel they could pay them more. There are those who complain about the streets, or the water, or the neighbor's weeds, yet, they think everything should be done miraculously without any effort nor cost to themselves. Many people are devoting money and time to the Hereafter, but are not concerned enough about the present to do anything to make things a little better for themselves and their neighbors. It's a shame that most people do not realize that a community com-munity belongs to all the people, and that it's everyone's obligation to see that it is a desirable place to live. We need a community where doctors, doc-tors, and lawyers, and dentists would be glad to come and live, and help us to build a thriving area. The work a man does for himself usually dies with him, but the work he does for his community will live on after he is gone. Never complain about a problem that with a little effort you, yourself, could solve. |
