Hansen, librarian and supervisor of the instructional instruc-tional materials center at the Duchesne Elementary School, nudges first grade pupils along the trail to "art appreciation. " She was appointed by the Duchesne County Board of Education Educa-tion to make selections of prints of famous paintings to hang in the new building. Money for the prints was budgeted in the furnishings budget for the new school. The prints have been framed in wood which matches the book shelves and other woodwork wood-work in the library, although the paintings will be hung throughout through-out the building. The ten prints obtained are Remmington's "Crossing the River" (pictured); DaVinci's "Mona Lisa"; "Ko Shang Lan's and Wang Kwan's painting of "Two Horses"; Whorf, "Breighten-ing "Breighten-ing Seine"; Degas' "Ecole de Danse"; Grant Wood's "Paul Revere 's Ride"; Gainsborough's "The Blue Boy"; Raphael's "The Cistine Madonna"; Millett's "The Gleaners"; and Willard's "Spirit of '76". |
