Show "Five on a Honeymoon" is title of the three -act comedy presented Tuesday night (May 7) at the Tabiona Ward Mutual This was directed by Mrs, Jessie Jes-sie Peatross, MIA drama di-rector, di-rector, assisted by Mrs. Ahlfild Josie, the YWMIA ward activity acti-vity counselor. The cast included Sally Wimmer, Julie Marett, Marigold Mari-gold Taylor, Neal Finlinson, Dan Workman, Kent Peatross, Melanie Meriwether, Clinton Moon, Lee Moon, Maureen Moon, Charlott Timothy, Rose Mary Huey. This comdey was presented at Tabiona as an exchange event, states Mrs. Helen Merk-ley, Merk-ley, YWMIA president for the Duchesne Ward, and John S. Thompson, YMMIA president. Elden R. Wilcken was sustained sus-tained Sunday as Explorer adviser for the Duchesne Second Se-cond Ward, and Bruce R. Jensen Jen-sen was sustained as assistant adviser for this Explorer Post No. 2258. Fifteen Explorers are registered in the post, boys ages 14 through 17. Four additional families were admitted to membership Sunday in the Duchesne Ward. These are the families of Glen I vie, Strawberry; Kenneth Dale Barney, Douglas Kay Winn, and Mrs. Winona Waters and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson J. (Violet) Merkley gave their missionary report at the Sunday Sun-day evening sacrament meeting meet-ing in the Duchesne Ward. The Merkleys returned April 28 from a two-year mission in Cookeville, Tennessee, in the Eastern Central States Mission, which has headquarters headquar-ters at Louisville, Kentucky. Elder Merkley served as president of the Cookeville Branch, and Sister Merkley was branch clerk. At this report meeting, Mrs. Luane Lars en, Mrs. Merkley1 s daughter, played a piano solo, Waltz Opus No. 64 by Chopin. Mr. Merkley1 s son, Phillip, said the closing prayer for the program. |
