Mr. and Mrs. Frances Brooks spent Monday at Duchesne. Those attending the funeral services of the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Sweat at Myton Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sweat, Mr. and Mrs. Earl 'Sweat, Robert Sweat and Mrs. Ella Sweat. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Young and sons and Jack Young spent Sunday Sun-day at Strawberry and Duchesne. Mr. and Mrs. Cleston Pace and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Sweat of American Fcrk spent the -week end with their parents at Fruit-land. Fruit-land. Mr. and Mrs. Cleston Pace and Mrs. Alma Humes and family spent Sunday evening -at the sheep camp with Mr. Alma Humes on Blue Bench. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sweat were called to Duchesne Tuesday by the Illness of their daughter, Margie, who has been staying with her sister, Mrs. David Bauni. Mrs. J. W. Rockhill had as her dinner guests Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Hart Stallings and family and Mrs. Thurston of Salt Lake. City spent the past week visiting at the D. B. Farnsworth home. Milton Larsen and Share n Holgate Hol-gate made a business trip 'to Salt Lake City Sunday. Miss Blaudwyn Peterson of Myton My-ton is employed at the L. J. Gilbert Gil-bert Home. Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Gurr and daughter Cherie of Salt Lake City were Friday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross. The following were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ros3: Mrs. J. D. Massey, Arthur Massey, Mrs. Thelma Whitney and son Philip Harrison of Vernal and Mrs. Bill Martin of Salt Lake City. f Ed Zirker ana Merrill Taylor are employed at the Elaterite mines in the Strawberry district. Monday evening at the ward chapel a party was given in honor of Kenneth D. Farnsworth, a Marine in Uncle Sam's . service. Games and dancing were enjoyed during the evening "by a large group of young folks from Arcadia and Bridgeland. Refreshments were served. Kenneth left Tuesday Tues-day evening for Salt Lake City, accompanied by his mother, Mrs. D. B. Farnsworth- He expects to leave Salt. Lake City Wednesday for San Diego. Primary conference was held here Sunday. An interesting program pro-gram was carried out toy the Primary children, Superintendent Gladys R093 conducting. Stake Superintendent of the Primary, Helen Odeklrk of Duchesne, was in' attendance. She spoke, giving some choice suggestions. Her son, Keith Duke, accompanied her. |
