Show LIONS NOMINATE OFFICERS FOR ELECTION E. F. Jensen was nominated for president of the Duchesne Lions club at its regular meeting at the Mission Cafe last Thursday, by the nominating committee. He ha.s served as first vice president during dur-ing the past year. Others nominated by the committee com-mittee wore B. A. Jacoby, secretary; secre-tary; C. C. Mickelson. Tailtwister; Wm. H. Fitzwater, L'on Tamer; Otto Jotisen, firs': pr?iy.ont;l G. C. Kohl, second vice president; E. O. Wilkins, thjrd vice president; presi-dent; P , L. Maxwell, Roy A. I Schonian and Chester Lyman, the 1 retiring president, directors. Two nominations were made from the floor: Wm. H. Fitzwater as president and Otto Johnson as secretary-treasurer. The election is scheduled for next Wednesday evening, April 22. President Lyman reported that nearly all of Duchesne's quota of $100 had been raised on the highway high-way U. S. 40 advertising campaign and that Duchesne county had appropriated ap-propriated a (like amount toward the county quota of $500. Mr. Lyman announced the zone meeting scheduled for Wednesday evening, April 15, at Roosevelt, with members from Heber ' and Vernal also participating, asking that the members let the secretary-know secretary-know as soon as possible how many would attend from Duchesne. |
