Show AHCADIA Mrs. Marion S. Shields Austin Cope was operated on at the L.D.S. hospital April 13 for appendicitis. Dr. Murray and County Nurse Martha Shanks were in Arcadia Tuesday afternoon inoculating for typhoid. Mrs. Thomas M. Gilbert, who lias been ill with mumps, is recovering. re-covering. Several other members of iher family are recovering from mumps and whocping cough. Billle Carman and Douglas Hor-rocks Hor-rocks are out of school with mumps. Mrs. Hazel Farnsworth and Mrs. Laccy Thayne of Mountain Home were Thursday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Farnswcrth. Bishop Hale Holgate, L. J. Gilbert, Gil-bert, Marion Ross and T. R. Cope left Sunday for Salt Lake City to be at 'the bedside of Austin Cope during his operation. ' Mrs. John Richens received word Tuesday morning of the death of her father, Ed Montgomery, Montgom-ery, at the L.D.S. hospital in Salt Lake City. Mr. Montgomery has been in poor health for several years. He has been a government ditch rider In the Arcadia division for ten or more years and has served the community well. He leaves a host of friends to mourn his loss. He is survived by his widow, Nora McAffce Montgomery, Montgom-ery, three children, Mrs. Lila Mae Richens, Donald, and Hope Montgomery. Mont-gomery.
