Show oucJ? Pleasant Grove On March 11, 2011, officers of-ficers took a report of a fence being damaged over a period of time. The homeowner stated stat-ed he simply wanted a report made to document occurrence should he have any further incidents.- The homeowner did not want investigations to become be-come involved at this time. A report of the criminal mischief has been made and this case is being fried as information only at this time. On March 12 officers responded re-sponded to a residence on a report re-port of a delayed burglary. The officers found that someone had entered the residence and taken items while the owners were gone. There are no suspects sus-pects at this time. This will be referred to the Detectives. An officer responded to 600 East 895 North in Pleasant Grove on a theft of a bike detail. de-tail. Officers took a report of a delayed vehicle burglary. The reporting party did not have any suspect information and this report is being referred to investigations for further follow-up. An officer was dispatched to the lobby of the police department de-partment to speak with an individual in-dividual who stated his wheelbarrow wheel-barrow had been stolen. A report was taken. There is no suspect information. While on patrol in the area of 400 West State, an officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, passing pass-ing vehicles in the continuous left hand turn lane. The officer stopped the vehicle and found the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. The officer arrested the driver and he was booked into jail. On March 13 police responded re-sponded to the parking lot of Water Gardens Theaters for a report of a window on a vehicle vehi-cle which had been damaged. . The officer found no suspect information available and no other vehicles had been damaged. dam-aged. The officer gathered this information and filed this report. An individual reported a theft of an Xbox and two motorcycles. mo-torcycles. Officers responded on a report of an' attempted shop lifting at a local grocery store. The suspects were located and arrested for shoplifting. The suspects were later released on misdemeanor citations. Officers responded to a local lo-cal gas station for an alcohol theft. The male had already left the gas station before officers of-ficers arrived. Officers were unable to locate the male, but the alcohol was recovered. On March 14 an officer responded re-sponded to a local residence on reports of a delayed burglary. At the time of the report, minimal mini-mal items were taken from the home. Possible suspect information infor-mation was reported. Contact has not been made with the suspect. No further action has been taken at this time. An officer responded to 876 South 950 East in Pleasant Grove on a vehicle burglary detail. An individual reported a stolen license plate. On March 15 an officer was dispatched to a theft of a vehicle motor. The officer located lo-cated the suspects and the suspects sus-pects stated that they were not stealing the motor. They were looking at it. The officer then spoke with the reporting party and he stated that he did not want to press any charges. No further action was taken. An individual reported a theft of a leather jacket out of a vehicle. An officer was dispatched dis-patched to two adult females being detained for shoplifting shoplift-ing at a local store. The officer offi-cer found both females concealed con-cealed items in their shoulder bags while inside the store. They were detained by loss prevention until the officer's arrival. Both females admitted admit-ted to putting items in their bags and were cited and released re-leased for retail theft. On March 16 an officer was dispatched to a report of theft of a refrigerator from a rented basement. The officer made contact with the complainant com-plainant who owns the property prop-erty and received details for investigation. The officer attempted at-tempted to make contact with the suspect prior to charges. Police responded on a report re-port of a gas skip at Maverick. Maver-ick. The clerk noted the plate when he approved the pay inside. in-side. The driver pumped $58 in gas and failed to come into the store and pay. This same suspect using the same vehicle vehi-cle did the same thing about a month ago. On March 17 police stopped a vehicle for driving left of center. Police identified identi-fied the driver by means of a Utah ID card. The driver was found to exhibit signs of drug influence and impairment im-pairment and following administration ad-ministration of field sobriety sobri-ety tests, confirmed him to be impaired. There was no evidence of alcohol influence influ-ence which was inconsistent inconsis-tent with the impairment observed. A portable breath test was administered which was consistent with the officers of-ficers observations (no alcohol al-cohol influence) and blood and urine samples were obtained ob-tained from he driver. Field urinalysis showed positive for controlled substances. Both prior to and following his arrest, the driver admitted admit-ted to having ingested controlled con-trolled substances consistent with my observations. The driver was under the active influence of controlled substances sub-stances at the time the officer offi-cer stopped him and was not capable of safely operating a motor vehicle. |
