Pholo courtesy of Timpamiizos Times Little Miss Lindon Tea Held by Angie Walker An orientation tea was held for Little Miss Lindon contestants on Saturday, March 19, at the Lindon City Center. Twenty-one girls will compete for the title of Little Lit-tle Miss Lindon 2011. They are Abby Atkinson, Taryn Holdaway, Kayley Singson, Tia Wilson, Courtney Ricks, Kira Crockett, Maddie Wood, Iris Valdizan, Brielle Bri-elle Harper, Kinsey Drancy, Taryn Christensen, Hannah Sanders, Mariah Sims, Elena Ele-na Delgado, Cecilee Karns, Tracy Evelyn, Hailey Vier-tel, Vier-tel, Brynn Terris, Dresden Fuller, Abby Merrifield, and Saibreya Smith. Director Joy Nelson welcomed everyone, in troduced herself, and explained ex-plained why she is involved. "I love the girls," she stated. "I think they are wonderful. I believe in this program. It's a wonderful program to build girls' self confidence and to teach them that in their early years they can serve their community and do a good job. They can make a difference," she concluded. con-cluded. Joy introduced the 2010 Little Miss Lindon Lindsay Savage, who in turn introduced intro-duced her royalty. Joy then introduced her committee to the girls and their moms. They are Traci Stone, Shelly Savage, Maegan Romero, Brooke Severe, Julie Poul-ton, Poul-ton, and Tatum Bunker. ' - i S TV,:' : f j : -'v.. h. . . - . . . . . - For the pageant, the girls will be judged on Interview, In-terview, Service Project, Talent, Modeling and an On-stage Question. The girls will also participate in a group service project on Saturday, March 26. With the theme "Run With Royalty," Roy-alty," a 5K run will be held to benefit Hunter Karns who is in need of a cochlear im-. im-. plant. The public is encouraged to come out and support this worthy cause. The public may register in advance online on-line at www.lindoncity.org or the same day of the race at 8 a.m. The race begins at 9 a.m. at the Lindon City Center. The price is $20 for individuals individu-als or $50 for three or more people from the same immediate imme-diate family. A bake sale will also be held in conjunction with the race. The Little Miss Lindon Pageant will be held Saturday, Satur-day, April 30, at 6 p.m. at Oak Canyon Jr. High. This event is free to the public. Utile Miss Lindon Royalty.
