Show Commissioners Hear Red Cross Reactivation Meeting with members of the Grand County Commission Com-mission on Monday was Bob Hazard, chairman of the Red Cross in Moab. Mr. Hazard outlined plans for reactivating the Red Cross locally and stated that special first aid classes are to be of fered during the second and third weeks of September Sep-tember as part of the program. Mr. Hazard also stated that Wilson Kay, in charge of first aid and water safety for the state, was to be in Moab Tuesday, Wednesday Wednes-day and Thursday of this week to teach a water safety instructors course at the Moab Swim Center and at the Steen House Pool. In other business before be-fore the Commission, Jerry Bonsar, operator of the Apache Motel was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Grand County Travel Tra-vel Council. The vacancy was created upon the resignation res-ignation of Bob Kyle from the Board. The Commissioners, acting upon a request from Kthel Hall of Cisco, stated that repairs to roads and bridges n that area would be done as soon as the county road crew could get into that area. |
