Show Devil News Briefs TESTS SCHEDULED National Merit Scholarship and National Educational Educat-ional Development, tests will be given February 15th at 8:00 a.m. at a charge of $2.50. Both the National Merit Scholarship, which is given giv-en to Juniors, and the Educational Development tests, for Sophomores only, are produced by the National Merit Mer-it Scholarship Foundation BOOSTER CLUB GUESTS Ginger Arehart, Diana Foy, Carla Samples, Pam McFarland, and Marilyn Luhrs, the , GCHS Varsity Cheerleaders, were the guests of honor at the weekly meeting of the Moab Booster Club Tuesday night. The girls were introduced to the club members, with a little bit of information! being given on each one, wihich was followed by a discussion period. STUDENT COUNCIL Student Council met Tuesday, Feb. 11 at noon. Matters Mat-ters discussed included future plans for a "Compu-Dance" "Compu-Dance" a dance whereby couples are matched according ac-cording to answers submitted by computors, and plans for the next pep assembly. Other discussion included that of the various money-making projects now underway under-way in the Junior and Sophomore classes. FUND RAISING PROJECTS In an effort to raise more money for their coming dances, both the Junior and Sophomore classes are in the midst of two new campaigns. The Sophomores are sponsoring a drawing for an Admiral record player. The Juniors recently received bumper stickers reading "Sock it to 'em Devils" which are now on sale for 50 cents. This project is not only designed to replenish the Junior treasury, but also to promote more team support sup-port on the part of the studentbody and townspeople. JUNIOR CLASS MEETING All GCHS Juniors were excused 15 minutes early from the 5th period class Wednesday, Feb. 5, in order to attend a special Junior Class meeting. The up-coming Junior Prom was discussed and all students wishing to promenade signed up for it. A committee was appointed ap-pointed to choose a class theme for next year's graduation, grad-uation, and plans for fund raising .projects were introduced. intro-duced.
