Show Booster Club Features hmh Wrestlers The Moab Booster Club enjoyed a demonstration on wrestling holds and techniques tech-niques at their meeting on 'Tuesday evening. Coach Gene Leonard and two members of the grappling team were on hand to explain the rules 'of the sport; and Jim Keogh 'and Steve Walston presented present-ed the demonstration of holds and falls. This was to 'help more people understand 'the sport and to help promote pro-mote the upcoming Stale Tournament to be held here Feb. 21 and 22. The Booster Club will provide the programs pro-grams for the meet and also al-so will assist at the door, selling admission tickets for the matches. Other guests .at the meeting meet-ing were the high school cheerleaders. The girls, Ginger Gin-ger Arehart, Pam McFar-land, McFar-land, Carla Samples, Diana Foy and Marilyn Luhrs passed pass-ed out copies of their yells and routines so the club would be able to do th. cheers with the studentbody during the games. They al- so asked that the Booster Club remain in' the gym during dur-ing the halftime activities, are invited to attend this team when they perform. Also Al-so on hand were Coach Del Ford and the junior varsity ball players, Kim Neal and Steve Robinson. It was announced that the shirts ordered are in, and will be delivered before Friday Fri-day by Ron Steele and J. B. Wiggens. If anyone wishes to order a shirt, they should contact Mrs. Kenneth Roberts. Rob-erts. A dinner mr-eting will be held Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. at the Ramada Desert Inn. Members Mem-bers will take as their guest for the evening, the varsity basketball players and the wrestline team. There are 'twenty-five total, thirteen ball players and twelve vrestlers. Anyone wishing to make reservations for th;s d'nner should call Betty Walterschied at 253-5146 evenings. |
