Show Area Trail Featured in Magazine Moab's Slickrock Bike Trail east of town gained national recognition recently recent-ly in a quarterly magazine "Our Public Lands" published publish-ed by the Bureau of Land Management. The article, which was written by Dick Burch, Natural Na-tural Resource Specialist here in Moab, told of one of the most durable trails in the nation the one we have here. In his article, Burch tells of the need for such a trail in this area because of the abundance of "off road" enthusiasts. Describing the sights that may be seen as one travels the trail and at the same, time pointing out precautions precau-tions that have been taken to prevent damage to the environment, Burch paints 3, picture of an attraction that has already attracted riders from all over the United States. The bike trail was finished finish-ed last summer and according accord-ing to reports, has been used us-ed quite extensively by en thusiasts from across the country as well as here in Moab. It makes use of the natural sandstone formations forma-tions east of town as -a means of (paving, stated Burch.
