Show City Police Report Rash of Accidents City Police officers reported a number of traffic accidents during the past week, due primarily prim-arily to slick roads. On December 28, at 11. p.m. Richard Robson, driving a 1972 Chevrolet, Chevro-let, hit a guard rail near the Intersection of 4th East and Mill Creek Dr. Damage of $100 was re-prted re-prted to his car and he received a citation from investigating officer Jim Nyland for speed too fast for existing conditions. Nyland also investigated investig-ated another accident on December 28, when Gary McKinnon, driving a 1966 Chevrolet hit a utility pole on Main St. McKinnon was cited for speed to fast for conditions. con-ditions. A citation for improper improp-er lookout was given Lowell Davis on Jan. 1, after he hit a parked 1967 Chevrolet belonging belong-ing to Charles Ziler as he backed from his driveway. About $25 damage was done to the Davis car, a 1968 Rambler Ram-bler and $60 damage was done to the Ziler auto. On Janurary 2, police reported that Ronnie Bowen, driving a 1963 automobile ran into a parked 1969 Plymouth belonging to Vinnie Camberlango on Uranium Uran-ium Avenue. Damage to the Bowen auto was set at $350 and $200 damage was done to the Camberlango Camber-lango car. Another accident was reported on January 2, at the intersection of First North and Second East when Janet Trujillo who was driving west on First North attempted to make a left turn and was hit broadside by a 1965 Ford driven by Bob Edwards. Damage to each of the vehicles was estimated between $400 and $500. Ms. Trujillo was cited for failure to yield the right of way. |
