In order to provide water the park personnel person-nel hauled 345,000 gal-longs gal-longs of culinary drinking drink-ing water to the park. As all other places around the area we recorded re-corded 20 inches of snow in the two day storm of the 28th and 29th bf December. With the cold weather the snow will be on the ground for a while this year. The road into the park is open but snow packed, if you have chains and plan to visit the park it would be wise to carry them along. The last mile to the point is snow packed and requires four wheel drive. For those who care to, the mile hike is a very rewarding experience. |
