Show Man Injured In Wreck Howard Smith, 268-12 28-12 Road, Grand Jet., Colorado, an employee at the oil rig north of Bull Frog Basin, was seriously injured Monday Mon-day when his '72 Chev-elle Chev-elle hit the Tracyte bridge on Utah 261 early New Years Morning. He was found several hours later by another oil crew returning to Hanksviile. He was pinned in his car and frostbitten when dsicovered. Word was sent to Hanksviile and the ambulance, driven by Reo Hunt, and accompanied ac-companied by Medical Clinic nurses, Nina Robison Rob-ison and Hope Miller, arrived at the scene. Dur. Eugene Davie, Utah Valley Hospital atProvo was called and he flew to Hanksviile immediately immediat-ely after the injured man. Smith was treated for a broken right leg, broken brok-en ribs, broken jaw, broken nose and numerous num-erous lacerations. He was flown back to Utah Valley Hospital by Dr. Eugene Davie accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Hope Miller. The accident was investigated by Trooper Steve Brown of the Highway Patrol and Wayne County Sheriff, De Lyle Johnson. |
