Show WHAT IS SEMINARY? What is seminary? Most people have heard of it but very few know what it is. It is a released time program and is not part of the regular school program. There are four courses and one is taught each year. The first course is Church History, then The Book of Mormon, The Old Testament, and this year the class is studying the New Testament. The class has a lot of fun and they have a great teacher that really gets along well with the kids. His name is Bishop Molgard. He is also the Bishop of Moab 2nd Ward. . The class does things such as scripture chase competition and sometimes they play a game kind of like Jeopardy, but they call it Seminary Bowl. It really makes studying the Bible e lot more interesting. 1 ' This November they are going to Monticello for a regional Seminary Rally where they will be getting together with other seminary students from Green River, Monticello, and Blanding. The students will be doing some scripture chasing and Seminary Bowl competition in the morning. Then in the afternoon they are having games and refreshments. refresh-ments. An attempt is being the students ideas. The high-light about the yearbook workshop was new ideas for layouts, themes, copy and cover designs. Students attending were Mike Zimmerman, Cindy Cathey, Penny Martin, Tom Taylor, and Daniel Bretzke. They were accompanied by Mrs. Ruth Williams, yearbook advisor. |
