Show Studenf Activities Beginning to Boil at Grand High School CADET TEACHING Last year about thirty students signed up for a program that is called Cadet Teaching. For about five years students stu-dents have been getting a chance to go and help a teacher. They go to either of the elementary schools, the Middle School or the Sundwall Center. The students usually get a choice of what grade level and what teacher he or y..- she would like to help. . Coach Glen Richeson heads the program and grades the cadets. The students are V graded on a pass or fail basis f; instead of a A, B, C, D, F K basis. They are graded on ; . attendance and on how much J. they help the teacher. f', Cadet teaching happens y. during school hours and it is the cadet's responsibility to get to and from the high school J' to his assigned classes. J' This program is to help the students get to know what a ' class is like from the teacher's side of the story. The cadets v actually get to work and teach fr the younger children. The next performance for the band will be Friday, September 24, and will be traveling to Millard High School for the Varsity fooib?ll game.
