Show County Continues Study On Nursing Home In further study of a county nursing home, the Commission Commis-sion met Monday with a representative rep-resentative of Burrow and Smith Company, bonding agents, ag-ents, and architect, Ed Fotiv eringham. The bonding agent, Mr. Christensen, confirmed tSiat a bond election can not be mm held in Utah before the Supreme Su-preme Court decides who can vote in one. But he also states his company hopes this issue will be settled before November, which would be the first possible date for a bond election. The architect will submit tentative plans and cost esti- mates before any more action ac-tion is taken. Comlmissioner Fred Beyeler moved that the County adopt a resolution to propose a bond issue on the November ballot bal-lot for $300 thousand to provide pro-vide funds to assist in building build-ing a nursing home andor extended care facility andor mental health facilities. His motion died for lack of a second. At a special meeting with the State Road Commission, Grand County Commissioners Commission-ers agreed unanimously to adopt a resolution endorsing the efforts of the Road Commission Com-mission to evolve a statewide state-wide scenic highway and recreational rec-reational road program, and efforts to gain corridors for the State of Utah through federal recreational reservations. In other business, the Commission Com-mission authorized Beeman Drilling to drill a new well on the present site at the Rodeo grounds. |
