Show CLUB HOLDS PARTY The Petroleum Club of Moab held their monthly party par-ty at the SunDowner Saturday Satur-day May 2. After dinner the 6il members and guests spent the evening getting acquainted acquaint-ed and dancing to the music of "The Sands." The group will d'scontinue meetings during the sum-. sum-. mcr, resuming activities with a party September 5, A group of 25 eastern tour agents Willi arrive here Friday Fri-day afternoon for two days touring and getting acquainted acquaint-ed with available area activities, activ-ities, under the sponsorship cf Tag-A-Long Tours, Frontier Fron-tier Airlines and Moab Tra-eLodge. Tra-eLodge. A reception and steak fry Friday evening will start their activities, and the public pub-lic is invited to attend. To be held in the Lions Club Park, the event will be un der the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Robertson of the TraveLodge. Saturday morning tour guides will draw for participation partici-pation in one of three tours: a 25-mile float trip, a combination com-bination float and jeep trip or a jeep trip to Angel Arch. Allien Howe and Bob Folks, cf the Four Corners Regional Region-al Commission, and their Wives will also join the tours. Mr. Howe will speak on Tourism in Canyonlands and the Four Corners at the Saturday Sat-urday evening reception and banquet at the SunDowner. Sam Taylor will act as master mas-ter of ceremonies during banquet ban-quet activities, and the public pub-lic is also invited. Costs for either the Friday or Saturday Satur-day dinners will be $7 each for both reception and dinner, din-ner, and $o each for dinner only. Early Sunday, the group will travel to Dead Horse Point State Park, where the Liens Club is giving a brunch In tlieir honor. The agents .will depart Moab Sunday afternoon. |
