Show Youth Injured In Automobile Wreck Saturday A Moab youth is in the HioFipitol as a result of a ane-car rollover May 2 at 2:15 a.m. The acdident occured about l'2 miles up river on U 128, when a 19G2 Ford ccnvertablc driven by Phillip iMeFarland, 18, 221 E. 2nd North, fafled to negotiate a curve at Hugh speed and rolled roll-ed over the embankment. The vehicle skidded 159 ft. before rolling, and rolled another 76 feet before coming com-ing to a stop. The passenger, Harvey .Dull, 17, 732 Millcreck Dr., was pinned under the car. A passerby assisted in prying the car off Dull, using a long road stake. Both occupants occu-pants were taken to Allen iMemoi'ijall Hospital where Dull is being treated for a hrcken pelvis, cuts and bruises. McFarland ' was treated for cuts and bruises raid released. Investigating officer Sheriff Sher-iff )W. II. Bowman issued McFarland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee McFarland, a citation cita-tion for failure to keep his vehicle under control resulting re-sulting in an accident. His car was a total loss. |
