Show Manksvilie News . . . By BARBARA EKKER Kip Ekker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Ekker, was rushed to Holy Cross Hospital iri Salt Lake following an accident acci-dent in Bicknell Friday. He received treatment at Sevier Valley Hospital enroute. He underwent brain surgery early Wednesday morning in Salt Lake. His mother, Cula Ekker, Ek-ker, underwent surgery Fri- rfav at the same hospital on a knee injury received during dur-ing the deer hunt in October. Octob-er. Mrs. Phyllis Ekker Blackburn Black-burn and son, Troy, age four, were injured in a truck rollover roll-over near Price, Utah Saturday Sat-urday enroute to- Hanksville to spend Easter with her parents, the Riter Ekker s. Troy received a broken leg and Mrs. Blackburn received bruises. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Nielsen and daughter, Susan, spent last week visiting her parents par-ents and brother, Alvin Robi-son, Robi-son, from their heme in Pay-son. Pay-son. Strong winds with gusts up to 35 knots met many boaters boat-ers and campers at Lake Powell Pow-ell over 'the Easter weekend. One boat and one camper were reported to have tipped over on U-276 south of Hanksville Hanks-ville to 'Bull Frog Basin' dur ing the Friday afternoon gales. Traffic was being halted halt-ed and boats pulled off the lake for safety. Miss Julane Ekker is visiting visit-ing her grandparents, the Rit-ter Rit-ter Ekkers, from her home in Richfield this weekend along with Mr. and Mrs. Don Ekker and daughter from Salt Lake. Mrs. Edna Ekker Robison returned home from St. iMary's 'Hospital Saturday after af-ter spending a week there for tests and observation. Mrs. Jeannine Hunt and sister, Mrs. Ranae Albrecht and children visited their aunt, Julia Christensen, in (Richfield Friday. Mr. and (Mrs. Ford Weber and Mr." and Mrs. Herbert Weber also visited there during the week. (Mr. Arthur Ekker and (Mrs. Lelia Anderson stopped and visited 'the Jesse Ekkera enroute .to Cedar City to visit his daughter, Gayle Thurston and family Friday. They will all go on to Las Vegas ior1 the Easter weekend. 1 Mr. and 'Mrs. Robert Hog-gatt Hog-gatt and children, Moab, spent the Easter weekend with -her parents', 'flhle Oarys Ekkers and did some fishing at 'Powell.
