Show Lecture Series Beginning Here Labeled Successful After a most successful success-ful first meeting attended by the residents of Moab and its surrounding area, a second Freedom and Responsibility discussion discus-sion meeting is planned for Thursday, January 18, at 7:00 p.m. Informa-) Informa-) tion on where the meeting ; is to be held can be f) achieved by contacting the Southeastern Utah Center for Continuing g) Education. The Freedom and Responsibility programs pro-grams are sponsored by the College of Humanities, Humani-ties, Arts and Social Sciences Sci-ences and the Extension Services of Utah State University, and by the National Endowment for the Humanities. The second Freedom and Responsibility program pro-gram will be presented by Glenn R. Wilde, Assistant As-sistant to the Dean of the USU College of Humanities, Hum-anities, Arts and Social Sciences, and by Carole V. Edwards, Assistant Reference Librarian of the USU Library. The program is called Freedom Free-dom of Expression : The International Dimension and takes a look at current cur-rent youth activities which challenge old, established est-ablished values in a worldwide movement. Mr. Wilde and Miss Edwards Ed-wards have put together a stunningly powerful multi-media presentation presenta-tion using light and color, slides, music, song, and poetry with which to open the evening's discussion. Presenter Wilde suggests sug-gests that in any attempt to examine the counterculture counter-culture and the generation genera-tion gap in our society, open discussion between young and old is essential. essent-ial. Everyone from high school through retirement retire-ment age is therefore urged to attend. |
