Show Scouts Making Awards For Contributions Members of the Boy Scout organization this week are making awards to various businesses and individuals in the community commun-ity who contribute monetary mone-tary assistance to the organization or-ganization to help meet the $3,740 quota required by the Moab District, as part of their affiliation with the national group. Two awards were presented pre-sented to Gene Cary, manager man-ager of City Market, one as an award to the store, and another personal award. aw-ard. The first, was presented pre-sented to him by Mark Raymond, and the personal award was given to him by Kent Dalton. Mr. Cary has been active in the Boy Scout organization for many years. Two types of awards are presented by the Boy iScouts; the firstj called the Century Club award was presented to four organizations or-ganizations contributing $100 or more for scouting activities. These awards went to the Elks Club, Dy-na Dy-na Doners of Green River, f s-S-;t -.-. : Texas Gulf Sulphur, and City Market. Contributing member awards, for donations of from $25-100 were presented pre-sented to Moab National Bank, First Security Bank, David Bailey, Howard Balsley, Utah Power and Light, Tommy White Dril-ing Dril-ing , Victor Thill LaSal Junction, Dr. C. A. Raymond, Ray-mond, Millers Supermarket, Supermar-ket, Millers Clothing, Dan Holyoak, Homestake Mining, Min-ing, Hurley Johnson, Dick Cozzens, and Jim Hudson. A special award will be presented to Charlie Redd of LaSal at a later date in recognition and appreciation apprecia-tion for the beef contributed contrib-uted each year for the annual an-nual Boy Scout barbeque. RECOVERING FROM INJURY Mrs. Muriel Winboum is recovering from a heel injury, but hopes to re- j sume her piano lessons j early in August. ! |
