According to Moab City Judge Donald Crist, he received a phone call from Mr. Hanson's office advising ad-vising him that Mr. Hanson Han-son had received notice to appear as attorney for another case on the same date as the Moab hearings. hear-ings. Efforts were made by Judge Crist to have the date of the other trial changed, , or to substitute another lawyer from Hanson's Han-son's office so that the hearings could go ahead as previously scheduled. Judge Crist remarked that he told Salt Lake City authorities au-thorities of the scheduling of the State Chemist for Balla's first visit to Europe, Eur-ope, having been born in Ohio. Her parents came to this country also in the early 1900's. Her father fa-ther organized a number of Hungarian Baptist' Churches in the eastern part of the United States and in Western Canada. While Pastor Balla is away from his church duties, du-ties, the Rev. George T. King, of Indianapolis, Indiana, In-diana, a retired American Baptist minister, will substitute sub-stitute for him. Rev. and Mrs. King will be living in the parsonage, and the Rev. King will carry on with the ordinary duties and services of the Moab church. Mr. and Mrs. King will arrive in Moab on July 24 and they will be introduced introduc-ed to the Congregation during the morning Worship Wor-ship Service on Sunday, July 26. The service is at 9 a.m. that date, but the request was to no avail. The August 10 hearings will begin at 10 a.m. with the case of Short, Young and Irgang, charged with possession of narcotic drugs. Immediately following follow-ing the disposition of that case, Robert Scott will appear ap-pear on the charge of selling sell-ing narcotic drugs. According to Judge Crist, the three separate cases against Ann Provon-sha Provon-sha Oats will be heard later in the day, one case at a time, until all cases scheduled are completed and action taken. |
