Show SCS Board Designates Special Week Soil Stewardship Week, a ,. nationwide observance which ' places emphasis on man's obligation ob-ligation to God as stewards of the soil, water and other resources, will be observed May 7-14, according to George M. White, chairman of the Grand Soil Conservation District, Dis-trict, t At a time when pressures grow on the land, it is useful use-ful to remind ourselves of the origins and history of this great land. To stress the allegiance al-legiance of all men to God and their dependence on His grace for all good things, the SCS spokesman said. Througnout the ages, men have offered humble thanks to their Creator for the priceless price-less gifts, of ah-, soil, water, and sunshine which make all living things possible. "Creative Conservation," the theme of this year's observance, observ-ance, underscores the respon-has respon-has in fulfilling his or her role as caretaker of tha realm. The Grand Soil Conservation Con-servation District and some 3,000 companion Districts throughout the nation along with their State and National Associations are sponsoring the event for the 18th consecutive con-secutive year. |
