Show Four Corners Co-Chairman Takes Office Sen. Frank E. Moss, D-Utah, D-Utah, Thursday represented represent-ed Utah at swearing-in ceremonies for Orren Bea-ty, Bea-ty, Jr., the newly appointed appoint-ed Federal Co-Chairman for the Four Corners Regional Re-gional Commission. Sen. Moss said that "I have worked with Mr. Beaty for several years, during his tenure as assistant assis-tant to Secretary of the Interior Udall, on problems prob-lems of concern to Utah. Many of these same problems prob-lems are still with us in one form or "another. I welcome the opportunity to . continue working with Mr. Beaty as he begins the organization of the Four Comers Commission." The new commission, a part of the Department of Commerce Economic Development De-velopment Administration, - will be responsible for new development activities designed de-signed to improve the economic ec-onomic stability of the sparcely settled Four Corners Cor-ners region. 20 of Utah's 29 counties are part of the designated area. Sen. Moss said that "durable economic developments in this area must he found to provide more jobs and curtail out-migration." , The governors of Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico are the balance bal-ance of the.
