Show THOMPSON News Items (By Virginia Gruver) Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Ortiz of Grand Junction, formerly of Thompson, and four of their eight . children, and Gilbert's mother mo-ther were visitors in town Sunday. Another gala affair was held in Thompson, the ladies la-dies getting together and giving a birthday party for Gerri Wimmer. The ladies la-dies all furnished the lovely lov-ely lunch that was served by Mrs. Margie Rogers, at whose home it was held. Those present were Helen He-len Adams, Velma Kelly, Lena Pene, Sr., Ruby Brostrom, Bessie Davis, Sadie Dutos, her mother, Phyllis Quintana, Grand Junction; Virginia Graver, Grav-er, Gerri Wimmer, Lena lAguilera and the hostess, Margie Rogers, also present pres-ent were Margie's two girls and Gerri's four ,girls. Gerri received many . .nice gifts and a good time was enjoyed by all. Paul Ziak, Paul Shuey, .Ted Miller and Jesse Gruver Gru-ver all left Friday for the reservation to do some fishing. They said they had good luck, but the roads are not the best, recent rains washing out many roads. |
