Show St. Claire's Guild Selects FJew Officers; Ptans Events Tiie new president of St. Clare's Guild, Mrs. Roy Hollis, presided at the regular reg-ular month!' meeting at St. Francis' Church January 24th. She gave as devotional an excerpt from "The Prophet", Pro-phet", by Kahlil Gibran. A note of gratitude was read from Captain Wm. Roberts, C. A., missionary in charge cf Holy Spirits, Randlette and St. Elizabeth's White-rocks White-rocks in the Ute Indian Field, thanking the Guild for a Christmas check. Appreciation Ap-preciation was expressed from the Bishop's Committee Commit-tee of St., Francis' for new file cabinets for the church. New committee members were announced as follows: Ways and Means Mrs. Leslie Graves; Church Education Ed-ucation Mrs. Joseph Hogben; Phoning Mrs. Gale Tibbetts and Mrs. , Charles Brechtel ; Devotion-' Devotion-' als Mrs. Jack Riley and Mrs Richard Mohler. Offic- ors for 1967 formerly announced an-nounced are: President Mrs. Boy Hollis; 'Vice Presi dent Mrs. Leslie Graves; Secretary Mrs.- Charles Brechtel; Treasurer Mrs. Gale Tibbetts; Social Mrs. Richard Parsons; Remembrance Remem-brance Mrs. Dorothy Temple; Publicity Mrs. Fred Stove, Mrs Sylvia levering lev-ering and Mrs. Ray Tibbetts. Lenten Coffees with informal in-formal discussions in preparation pre-paration for Easter will be held at the church every Tuesday imorning at 10:00 during Lent, starting Feb. ruary 14th. Program committee chairman, chair-man, Mrs. Leslie Graves, announced a very interesting interest-ing schedule for 1967, including in-cluding films, talks, a book review and a Parish Picnic. The annual Shrove Tuesday Tues-day pancake supper was discussed1. This will be at St. Francis' February 7th at 6:30 p.m., sponsored by the Brotherhood of St. Andrews with St. Clare's Guild assisting. as-sisting. All adults of the . Episcopal Church are urged to attend. ' The coming Preaching Mission by The Reverend Robert H. Cochrane, Rector of all Saint's Episcopal Church in Salt Lake was .announced and explained. This will be at St. Francis' for four consecutiva evenings, even-ings, Sunday through Wednesday, Wed-nesday, February 12 - 15. Services will start at 8:00 and end at 9:15, allowing time for discussion after each session'. These meetings will be open to the general public. |
