Show County School iard Rebuses First Large lids This Week Bids were released this week for the first portion of the school building program, pro-gram, utilizing funds from the half, million dollar bond approved by Grand County voters last spring. Notice was served to contractors con-tractors that drawings and specifications were available avail-able at the Schooi District officers; the completion date is a week prior to opening of the Fall school term. Not included in tne first building package, were renovations ren-ovations of Star Hall as a drama and educational TV center. Star Hall was excluded ex-cluded from bidding upon the advice of the architects until a further structural evaluation could be made. Proof of certain structural checks had not been noted by engineers making the preliminary evaluation, and as a precaution the checks will be imade before releasing releas-ing bids for the building renovations. Renovation Pushed Superintendent Robert Sundwall said Tuesday bid openings for the elementary school additions were scheduled sched-uled for February 16th. It is hoped another construction construc-tion package will be ready for bidding by mid-March. This will include ' Junior High School renovations, high schol shop, gymnasium, gymnas-ium, and, after it receives the architects stamp of approval, ap-proval, Star Hall. The Junior High School renovations will be pushed for completion by the opening open-ing of the Fall term, Mr. Sundwall said; construction of the gymnasium will be scheduled for completion before be-fore the Fall indoor sports season. |
