Show first hint The past weekend's warm weather, which had Moabifces out in tfhe yard in droves, brings to mind the rapidly approaching travel season in Moab, and the preparations needed here prior to the oncoming tourist rush. More than ever before, Moab needs a unified, intense in-tense cleanup program this spring. It is more than can be handled by one civic group, so rightly should become be-come an entire community effort involving every civic group and governmental agency in the community. And it must be done soon. Moab cannot await the April and May, normal community cleanup days to get its job done. By that time, not only will our growing season be well underway, but our visitors will have already al-ready arrived. We are pleased to note the City Council made the first move to start a spring cleanup, last week, with the appointment of Wesley Oliver and Rodney Phillips to co-chairman the campaign. We are sure these men will receive the wholeheartel support of tihe town, so the much needed community cleanup can beat the spring visitors to our door. |
