Show LEGAL NOTICE Notice to Contractors Sealed proposals will be received by the State Road Commission of Utah, Room 60S State Office Building, Salt Lake City, Utah, until un-til 2 o'clock p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 1967, and at that time publicly opened for construction of a Graded Gra-ded and Drained Roadway in Grand County, the same being that section of Interstate In-terstate Highway No. 70 (From North of Cisco to Cottonwood Wash, identified identi-fied as Federal Aid Project Pro-ject No. 1-70-4(6)211. The length of road to be constructed or improved is 6.520 miles, and the principal prin-cipal items of work are approximately as follows: 3032 Tons of Bituminous Material, 371,000 Cu. Yds. of Imported Borrow (Granular (Gra-nular Material) and 1,-620,000 1,-620,000 Cu. Yds. of Unclassified Un-classified Roadway Excavation. Exca-vation. The project is to be completed com-pleted in 240 working days. Prequalification of bidders bid-ders is required. Prior to any bidder's receiving plans and specifications, it will, be necessary that the bidder have on file with the State Road Commission Commis-sion of Utah ( completed and approved, the required requir-ed Prequalification Statement State-ment pertaining to contractor's con-tractor's experience and financial condition. The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Provisions covering subletting sub-letting or assigning the contract. In conformity with Section Sec-tion 115 of the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1956 the U. S. Department of Labor La-bor has certified the wage rates for this project which are the minimum wages to be, paid on this project. These rates are made a part of the contract con-tract documents. The attention of bidders bid-ders is directed to the fact that this Commission has been advised by the Wage and Hour Division, U. S, Department of Labor, fha contractors engaged ' in highway construction work are required to meet the provisions of the Fair Labor La-bor Standards Act of 1938, (52 Stat. 1060). The State Highway Department, De-partment, in accordance with the provisions of Title Tit-le VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Commerce (15 C. F. R., Part 8), issued is-sued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively affirm-atively insure that the contract entered into pursuant pur-suant to this advertisement advertise-ment will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder bid-der without discrimniation on tho ground of race, color, co-lor, or national origin. Proposal forms, plans, and specifications are on file in the office cr the State Road Commiss u Salt Lake City, and the office of its District Engineer En-gineer at Price, Utah Where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, Speci-fications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained obtain-ed only at the Commission Offices at Salt Lake City, upon application and payment pay-ment of a fee of $20.00, no part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a letter from an approved surety com- pany guaranteeing to furnish fur-nish said bidder with required re-quired bond. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved - Cash, certified check, cashier's check, or approved approv-ed proposal guarantee bond for not less than five per cent of total amount of bid made payable to the State Road Commission must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish contract con-tract bond as required.
