Show Local Solons Fare Well On Committee Pests Southeastern Utah senators sen-ators and representatives fared well in winning assignments as-signments on . key pmmit-tees pmmit-tees of the -37th State Legislature Leg-islature last week. Sen. Samuel J. Tayloi, R-Moab, R-Moab, won the chairmanship chairman-ship of the state, federal and military affairs and civil defense committee of the Senate. Sen. Omar Bunnell, D-Price, D-Price, minority whip, Sen. Taylor ' and Sen. Kendrick (Haward, RRiohfield, representing rep-resenting Sevier, Garfield, Piute, Wayne and San Juan counties, all were appointed appoint-ed to the powerful appropriations appro-priations committee. IBoth Representatives Edward Ed-ward E. Drake, R-Moab, and Larry Regis Jr., D-Spring D-Spring Glen, freshman in the House, won appointment appoint-ment to the House Appropriations Appro-priations and Finance Com-miiittee Com-miiittee which constituted part of the Joint Appropriations Appro-priations Commiittee. This .committee determines in the main what share of .state revenue goes to each ,state agency. Sen. Taylor also is a member cf the judiciary and the rules committee. Sen. - Bunnell hlds membership mem-bership also on Wm political suibdvisdons, fish and game 1 and labor committees. Sen. Harward is chairman chair-man of the public health, .veilfare and institutions committee and a member of .the agriculture and education, educa-tion, and revenue and taxation tax-ation committees. . Rep. Drake, who served during the last special session ses-sion of the 1965 Legislature' by appointment, also is ' ' .chairman of the House highways and aeronautics .committee andi a member ,oif the industrial development develop-ment committee. . Rep. Russell S. Williams, D-Price, is a member of the elections, fish and game, political subdivisions and .rules and procedures committees. com-mittees. Rep.
