Show Museum Repes! The Grand" County Commission Com-mission voted Monday to staff and maintain the Moab Mo-ab Museum if a new building build-ing is completed in conjunction con-junction with the proposed new library building. Clerk Elmer Dravage was instructed in-structed to draw an agreement agree-ment as such for signature of the Commissioners. Request Re-quest for county staffing and maintenancei of jthei new museum was made by Jluseum Director Helen M. Knight, and Curator Billie Provonsha. Several members of the Red Rock Ridei-s appeared at the Commission meeting meet-ing Monday to request the metal building at the former for-mer Moab Airport site be moved to the Rodeo Grounds for use of riding groups and irodeo officials. The Commission Com-mission discussed use of .the building with Harold .Tarnhs. hear! nf the Snorts Car Racing Association, which had previously been granted use of the building. llr. Jacobs said the metal building would be used more this year than last by .the racing groups, especially especi-ally if the district races were held in Moab. The building will be left in its present location for use of the racing organizations, until title rights to the former for-mer airport are cleared, Clerk Elmer Dravage said. , Permission to use the county rodeo grounds was granted to the Red Rock Riders for the annual Grand County Horse Show, scheduled for April 29 and a 30. Members of the Red Rock Riders attending the Commission Com-mission meet included Ed orby, Ray Alger, Arnel1 Holyoak, Wyona Dalton and Ethel Krist. |
