Show CITYJHJNCIL Regular payroll for entire month amounting to $2,664.25 was approved for payment at Wednesday night's meeting of the city council. Councilman F. J. Quinn reported that there was enough water from Beal's well to supply the cemetery. The council expect to buy in the near future a tank to hold the water for cemetery use. Those expecting to attend the municipal league convention at St. George on August 29, 30, 31, and Sept. 1 are Mayor R. A. Mur-ano. Mur-ano. Councilman "Harold Chester, Ches-ter, Ci'v Attorney T. Donald Creer, City Recorder Eugene Morris and John J. Creedon, representing re-presenting the fire department. As part of the safety and speed control program, new luminous signs oil steel standards marking intersections and streets branch-in" branch-in" off the main thoroughfare have been installed or are in the process of being installed. The new signs will also be helpful to tourists and strangers visiting this community. The signs and standaios were donated by Kennecott Ken-necott Copper Corp., and erected by the city street department. Painting of pedestrian lanes on Main street and erecting signs giving directions to communities neighboring Bingham is also a part of the program. |
