PROVO MEN TElL OF THRILLING HUNT I Bear Is Killed After It Had Dispatched Horse PROVO Nov 2 22 Ferre Ferre Decker was was' wast here Saturday looking after business matters in the Garden City t na and lc closing t I up VP several r 1 Important or deals on real e estate which he has sold here In the past past- few months Mr Decker tells of killing a b bi big cinnamon bear near Park re re- re He was accompanied on the hunt by Alexander Evans Thomas Wilds Wilds' and George Wilds They bagged three bears but one of these which weighed more than pounds tore the horse to pieces s' s before Mr lr Decker succeeded In getting getting- the shot which put an end t to his career The party had been tracking this bear for two or three days and finally the they pot got ot close to him Mr 11 Decker rode around so as to g get t in front of ot him and andall as so he hI climbed over a 1 lo log took two shots shot at him which did not prove effective His horse shied at the shooting and whirled and stumbled tumbled over a lo log and broke his his' leg The horse rolled about fifteen to twenty yards down a bank toward the bear The t bear beal eai made for the t e horse and when ho he reached him tore the horses horse's body open I Mr Decker got a good clean shot an sni aneS j. j killed it The horse hail had to be l killed
