Show MEASLES CASES STILL NUMEROUS According to tha weekly report of the eity board of health, fifty-six eases of contagious and infectious diseases wers reported during ths week ending Msy S, of which forty-two were measles. Four cases of scarlet fever were reported, three -of diphtheria, three of whooping cough, ons of typhoid ty-phoid fever, .one of mumps, one of pneumonia and ons of chicken pox. Two houses now remain under quarantine quar-antine for smallpox, eighteen houses are under quarantine oa account of scarlet fever, sight houses remaia quarantined quar-antined for diphtheria, and there ia one case of smallpox at ths isolation hospital. I hi ring ths wesk there wers forty-eight forty-eight births reported, of which thirty were males and eighteen females. Twenty-one deaths occurred during the week, of which fifteen wars males and six females. |
