Show EVANS NEW HEAD OF LOCAL WELSH SOCIETY The Sont and Daughters of Wales held their regular monthly meeting and annual election of officers last night. A a interesting program was givea before be-fore the electioa and plana for the banquet ban-quet to be given at the New Grand hotel ho-tel Wednesday ninht were discussed. The officers elected are as follows. , President. John Evans; first vice 'president, 'presi-dent, Rees Davis; second vice president, presi-dent, Mrs. C. W. Stewart: secretary. Mrs. Timothy Edward; treasurer. J, J. oles; accompanist. Prof. Henry E. Uiles; n.ember of the exerutve board, Evae Arthur, Mrs. Kate D. Sbill. Mrs. Elvira Sullaway and Mrs. Jane Elliott. El-liott. William H. Folland, the retiring E resident, will be toastmaster at tb.' anquet of the aociety to be held at the New Grand next Wednesday night, and the list of speakers includes Brig hsm H. Roberts, fotme.' Governor Arthur Ar-thur L. Thomas. John James and Ma thonihah Thomas. Voi al and instrumental instru-mental mueie will be furnished by an orchestra. |
