At the same time it is reported that the rental market shows thirty-seven houses for rent, some of which are not considered modern and de-"" de-"" sirable ' It Is difficult to conclude that these VI figures reflect ' anything but progress. For the last three years we have been adding to our housing facilities at the rate of eight hundred homes a year.' The average home will house four Individuals. The figures mean simply that In two and 'one-half years we have added 2000 homes to the available supply. ' '. ... ' . ' ,"r The auto registration for the first, eight . months of 1923 shows an increase in the : number of licenses issued, during the entire year of 1922. This, similarly, reflects growth and prosperity. Statistics make it hard for the t pessimist to establish a good foundation for his gloom. The facts run contrary to the speculations and the record should serve to r. increase faith in the future of Salt Lake and |
