Show CHICAGO PRODUCE. CHICAGO, March 13. Trading in the wheat pit today was active and prices were inclined to be weak. Liverpool cables ca-bles were disappointing to the bulls, the decline there being small. Northwestern , receipts were fairly liberal and the damage dam-age reports which have been numerous during the last few days were absent during the day's earlier trading. May opened unchanged to c lower at 78Jc, sold up to 78c and declined to 78c. Corn was quiet. The chief .influence seemed to be the weakness of wheat and oats. May corn opened unchanged to c lower at 47 to 47ic. The oats market was active and prices were weak because of liquidation by local lo-cal longs. May oats opened unchanged to ic lower at 41 to 411c to 41c, and sold at 40Jc. The provisions market was quiet and prices were steady. May pork opened unchanged to 24c higher at $16.1016.12; lard was unchanged at $9.25 and ribs were 6c lower at $8.95. Conflicting reports regarding damage to wheat by the green bug caused a weak market in the last nialf of the session. The close was weak with May off 1 at 77c. The com market was influenced by the break in wheat. May selling oft to 46gc. The close was weak, with May g I lower at 46461c. |
