Show PROGRAM FRIDAY WELLATTENDED A seven foot wreath constructed construct-ed ot flowers purchased with funds obtained from the community com-munity wreath fund was placed on the World War II memorial on Bingham high school grounds last Friday afternoon during memorial services conducted by veterans' organizations. Also placing wreaths on the memorial were the American Legion auxiliary aux-iliary and Bingham CIO local No. 485. Speakers were Brig. Gen. Nor-ris Nor-ris B. Harbold, commanding general gen-eral Hill Field air force base, Mayor C. A. Morley and David C. Lyon, commander American Legion post No. 30. The Legion and auxiliary and members of Gold Star mothers of Bingham district were special guests. Out of the wreath fund, presentations pre-sentations of $3.06 to the auxiliary auxil-iary and $75 to be spent on patients pa-tients at the Veterans hospital were made. Both amounts were accepted by Mrs. Mabel Brim-hall, Brim-hall, legion auxiliary president. Rev. Thomas Navien offered the invocation and Bishop Clinton S. Robison gave the benediction. Bingham district Boy Scouts were also in attendance. Master of ceremonies during the program pro-gram was Harold Chesler. A good attendance was present at the program. |
