Show STANDARD OIL GETS A BLOW Non-Residents May Be Ta-Ken Ta-Ken to St Louis to Testify in Government Suit, Says High Court. ' ST. LOUIS, March 7. A decision was given in the United States Circuit court today sustaining the order of service ser-vice of the United States Circuit court, against the Standard Oil company and more than fifty other non-resident corporations cor-porations and individuals, co-defendants with . the. Waters-Pierce Oil company, com-pany, in the suit filed by the Government Govern-ment at the instance of President Roosevelt. More than a month ago a motion was filed by the defendants to the effect that it was not in the jurisdiction jurisdic-tion of the St. Louis court to compel I non-resident witnesses to come here and testify in the suit. Arguments were heard before Federal Judges Sanborn, Hook, . Adams and Vandevanter, and the point at issue was taken under advisement. ad-visement. Judge Sanborn wrote the opinion. " ' |
