Show Miners Meet Cyprus High Special to The Tflegram BINGHAM CANYON. Nov. Already crowned class B champion cham-pion of the Jordan district for the second straieht year, Bingham concludes con-cludes conference play here Friday Fri-day in a traditional game with Cyprus high of Magna. The Miners have won four class B games and dropped a 7-0 decision de-cision to Davis, a class A title-contender. title-contender. Cyprus, another class A school, has yet to win this season, sea-son, but seasonal records mean little lit-tle in this annual struggle. Since tha series began in 1925, Cyprus has won six games, Bingham five, and three have been tied. Bingham Bing-ham won, 25-0, last year to snap a three-year winning streak of the Pirates. The Miners depend heavily upon amashes by Frank Callen, and dashes at end and tackle by Charley Char-ley Hudson and Gordon Jensen, with Elwin Winn doing some neat kicking. Cyprus haa a fleet end hi Charles Sudbury, sturdy backs in Don Husband and Kochl Ono-shl, Ono-shl, and a husky veteran center in Tom Vagenaa. |
