Ogden Power Proposal Defeat Grows Special to The Telegram OGOEN, Nov. 9 A final count at the city recorder's office showed Thursday that the proposed municipal mu-nicipal power plant was defeated by a wider margin than at first reported In Tuesday's election. The final count, which Is official offi-cial save for the canvass next Monday by the city commission, was: For the power plant ordinance, ordi-nance, 5730; against, 9504. The unofficial count reported Tuesday night wss: For. 5780; against, 9507. The difference between the two counts showed that, while opponents oppo-nents of the plant lost only three votes, proponents lost 50. The ordinance would have provided pro-vided for Issuance of g3.500.000 in revenue bonds for construction of a city owned and operated plant. |
