A it is declared "and readily can be believed, is creating considerable con-siderable amusement in Wall street. The circular has been issued ..in behalf of "Sinclair Silver Consolidated (Incorporated) State of ; Delaware," which, tha circular maten, comprise an lnteprn!ent group of "claim "lyln In the rich and highly productive Cottonwood mining district j "of Morgan county. Utah, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada ran ft" i . There I In Morgan county a "Cottonwood" district, but not the plural not the Big and Little Cottonwood, which have added to the fame of 1'tah ; ma a- mining state. It I surprising, however, that the "foot" of the Sierra ' ' Nevada range extends several hundred mile eastward and rests In Morgan .'county at a point where the Plerra Madre ha stood for quite a .while. The circular states that the officer of the corporation, the addresse ' ;f all of whom, by the ay. are given as New York City or Brooklyn, "are 'mra widely versed with I'tah mining conditions, and who will use their talent to bring about the results anticipated." The circular also atates: The development work on the Sinclair properties consists of three tunnels driven Into the hill and at three different points the ore has been 1 "tapped. Knglneer Kenner advises driving another tunnel further down the ! !hllU work on which h.is begun, where he assure us that at another twenty-flva twenty-flva feet will strike the rich galena (silver) ore. The correctness of - Knglneer Kcnner's Judgment is proven by the fact on the Hostoa Acme properties he estimated that that comiwny would strike the ore at approximately ten feet, and the ore was actually encountered at eleven feet. Mr. Kenner further reports thst with the expenditure of a few more thousand dollar Sinclair Silver would be in a shipping condition, and with sufficient help we will lie able to take out one hundred ton of ore a day. . Therefore, In offering the shares of Sinclair Silver Consolidated. Inc.. we are of the opinion that Investors are taking very little risk, but are investing In a company naVlhff ffltinninj Rnnfrn OfiORfti fn stght and shifulo) istr very large dividends to stockholder." 1 There would seem tn be no doubt that with "enormous known deposit in sight" the company would have no difficulty In getting "sufficient help" ' to take out not lms than a hundred ton m day, end posalhly a little more. While not a word Is said about capitalisation or number of shares, the circular declare that "we can highly recommend Sinclair Silver ahare a t -an opportunity for profits, and suggest Immediate commitments while the '. ahare are being sold rtUOR TO THA DING ON THE NKW YORK CURB." It will be noticed that the word "trading" and not "listing" Is used; and - there ia quite a little difference. It I generally conceded by mining men that Morgan county eventually .'will become on of the Important mineral producing district of Utah. Con-I Con-I aiderable development -work ha been done, principally-by Salt Lake Interests, . in the Cottonwood district. Into which, it I generally believed, the Ore veins of the Park City district extend. Some production has resulted and aeven&l - properties have reached an Interesting development stage. This district, as well aa the mining Industry of Utah as a whole, would - welcome outside capital, hut it . seriously objects to any campaign which 'might be suggestive of stock Jobbing. . |
